About The Founder
Founder, Tarik Koivisto designs her slow fashion collections from her charming, Provencal hilltop village, drawing inspiration from the region's luminous landscapes, artisan culture and rich history. She loves to combine vintage French silhouettes with modern, chic simplicity to create timeless, classic pieces designed to be worn for years to come.
A late-blooming fashion designer, Tarik launched Luxe Provence in her 40's after working for decades in product development, graphic design and branding. In 2018, against all conventional thinking, she decided to pursue her true passion... fashion.

"My grandmother inspired my love for fashion at an early age. She was an excellent seamstress and would create the most incredible clothing for us as children. I remember that excitement of picking out the designs and fabric, and then seeing each piece come to life. I still feel that same joy and excitement today, each time one of my design sketches takes life."
Tarik met her French partner in San Francisco in 1997, and began visiting family in the South of France, eventually bringing her two growing bicultural boys each year. Once she discovered Provence, she was smitten. San Francisco stole her heart, but Provence is where she wanted to make a life for her family and to raise her boys. After a few years in the region, she took another leap and founded, Luxe Provence.
Tarik launched Luxe Provence's slow fashion line in 2018, featuring limited edition collections that quickly sell-out each season, shipping around the globe to discerning clients. She takes great delight in photographing each of her collections in the special places and regions of Provence that provide inspiration.
